Antonio Garcia de Castro is Executive Chairman of San Telmo Business School. His professional and academic career has been closely linked to business leadership and business policy.
He holds a Degree in Civil Engineering and an MBA from IESE Business School, University of Navarra. He also completed PhD coursework specialising in Business Policy at IESE and participated in the International Faculty Programme.
His professional career includes more than three decades of leadership at San Telmo Business School and Fundación San Telmo. He served as CEO of San Telmo Business School from 1986 to 2019 and as CEO of Fundación San Telmo from 1990 to 2019. Since 2019, he has served as Executive Chairman of
San Telmo Business School.
Throughout his career, he has served on the boards of several Spanish and Portuguese companies across a wide range of sectors, including agribusiness, automotive, retail, hospitality, chemicals, renewable energy, construction, real estate, innovation services, logistics, textiles and building industries. He has also worked as a consultant specialising in Business Policy, particularly with family-owned businesses.
In the academic field, in addition to his work at San Telmo Business School, he has been a Visiting Professor of Business Policy at leading business schools in Portugal, Spain, Mexico and Colombia, including AESE, IESE, IPADE and INALDE. He has also contributed to the field through numerous published papers and business cases.
