Ignacio González Hernández is one of the most highly regarded executives in Spain’s fast-moving consumer goods sector. He holds a degree in Business Administration from ICADE (E-2) and spent a significant part of his career at Carrefour Group, where he became a member of its Global Executive Committee and held senior global positions in purchasing and commercial management in France.

He subsequently served as CEO of Campofrío Spain and was responsible for Campofrío Food Group’s Southern Europe and United States region. From 2016 until June 2023, he led Nueva Pescanova as CEO, driving the company’s transformation and relaunch following its restructuring.

He currently serves on the boards of directors of Pascual, KH Lloreda, and Helados Alacant. He is also Chairman of the Advisory Board of Patatas Meléndez and a Senior Advisor at Bain & Company.

Alongside his executive career, he has maintained a strong institutional presence within the business community. He served as Chairman of Ecoembes for seven years and has chaired AECOC since 2021—and again since 2024. AECOC is Spain’s leading association of manufacturers and distributors, bringing together more than 35,000 companies.

His professional profile is closely associated with the modernization of the consumer goods sector, sustainability, digital transformation, and the improvement of business competitiveness.
