Dr. Angel Pascual-Ramsay is Professor of Geopolitics and Geoeconomics at ESADE Business School´s Department of Strategy & General Management and Senior Fellow at ESADEgeo, ESADE´s Center for Global Economy and Geopolitics. He teaches on a wide range of subjects related to geopolitics, geoeconomics, political risk to business and non-market strategy.

From 2008 to 2011 he served as advisor to the President of Spain, with responsibility for briefing the President on global geopolitical and economic trends and risks. Prior to his public service position, Dr. Pascual-Ramsay worked as a strategy management consultant for Accenture in its London and New York offices.

He has been Senior Fellow at the Brookings Institution, Spain country consultant for The Economist Group and collaborated with several international economic organizations like the OECD and the Davos World Economic Forum. He has authored various publications on geopolitics, geoeconomics, political risk and international political economy and is a contributor to several media outlets, including the Financial Times and Spain´s El País.

He holds a PhD in International Political Economy from the University of Cambridge, a Master in Public Administration from Harvard University´s Kennedy School of Government and undergraduate degrees in Political Science from the University of Cambridge and in European Business Administration from ICADE University in Madrid.
